Release 5.135.0

Production Version 5.135.0 (17 October 2026)

What is new

The tab is called Manual Link, and its screen is clearer about what it does: Hooq links work item pairs that another sync app made, and nothing is copied. The buttons and messages use the same words: Start Linking, Link Status, Cancel and Link Again. Steps: Link existing work items from another sync app.

A short note, and a search for the field

The tab asks you to pause the other sync app first, and a closed How it works section explains the order of steps. The field list has a Search fields box. Text fields are listed first; Show all fields shows the rest. The field you pick is saved as soon as you pick it.

No second copy of a work item that already names its partner

Once you have picked the field, Hooq does not create a new copy of a work item on this instance that already names its partner in that field.

Run it on either instance

Between two instances, Manual Link on one instance is enough. The other instance learns about the link from the first change Hooq sends for the pair. A Resync of a linked pair sends only what a person changed after the link.

Known limitations

  • Only changes made after the link sync. A comment, file or worklog made before the link is not copied, and a Resync does not send the old history.
  • Until the first change for a pair has reached the other instance, a Resync there sends nothing and can answer Linked issue not found or show This issue is not Hooqed. This is safe.
  • Only the newest 100 entries of a work item's history are checked when a Resync works out what a person changed after the link.
  • A pair you unlink on purpose is not created again while the field still names the old partner.
